Meet The Cairo Desk Lamp 01
The Cairo Wooden Desk Lamp 01 is a laser-cut plywood lamp designed and built entirely from scratch. It combines digital fabrication with hands-on building experience, using a 12V neon LED strip, simple electronics, and carefully designed wooden parts to create a functional and expressive desk object. From the structural elements to the lighting layout, every part was thoughtfully designed to balance form, function, and ease of hand assembly using basic tools and materials.
Open Design for Makers. Staying true to open-source values, all design files and project resources are shared openly for anyone to edit, customize, or rebuild. Whether you’re a maker, designer, educator, or curious beginner, this project invites you to explore digital fabrication, experiment with materials, and experience the satisfaction of building a complete object with your own hands.

Below you can download the DXF files. You can use those files to laser cut the Cairo Desk Lamp 01 parts. The material I use to laser cut them: Plywood 6mm thickness 😉
If you are going to order or manufacture that on your own just simply send those files to any makerspace or a fab lab with a laser cutter machine. All DXF files are in mm.
