Difficulty:Easy
Steps:2
Time Required:20mins – 30mins

Step 1 Installing The Flexible Coupler

Prepare The Following Parts:
Flexible Coupler 5*8*25mm1

On one side of the flexible coupler is a 5mm hole and on the opposite side is an 8mm hole. Insert the flexible coupler from the 5mm hole side to the stepper motor shaft as seen in the pictures down below. Slightly tighten the first set screw. Turn the shaft and slightly tighten the second set screw.

There is a flat part on the motor shaft, rotate it similarly to the first picture. See the direction of the arrows. One of the screws must be facing directly against the pad (flat part) on the shaft. Slightly tighten the first screw. Turn the shaft and slightly tighten the second screw.

Step 2 Installing The T8 Lead Screw

Prepare The Following Parts:
380mm T8 Lead Screw1

Insert the T8 lead screw into the flexible coupler from the 8mm hole side. Gently tighten the two set screws of the flexible coupler.

Step 3 Assemble The X-axis And The Z-axis Together

Prepare The Following Parts:
The assembled X-axis unit1

Place the X-axis four V-wheels on the Z-axis Aluminium profile and insert the brass nut into the T8 lead screw. Gently rotate the T8 lead screw so the brass nut gets fully inserted.

Make sure that all the four solid v-wheels are touching the aluminium profile and moving freely without too much tension.

Also, make sure that the T8 lead screw is inserted into the brass nut and you can rotate it with your hand easily.

Step 4 Checkpoint

You should now have an assembled X and Z axis together.
